Today I had an interesting thought about the principle of ’cause’ and ‘effect’. I was reading an author by the name of Raymond Holliwell. His book is Working with the Law.
In there in the chapter on Supply he makes a comment that when we desire any particular effect in our lives, this desire is actual y the appearance on an underlying ’cause’. Of course this is always true. All that we have in our lives in connected to some interior cause or some belief or way of thinking.
I often hear the phrase; if you want to know what you are thinking, look at your environment. Look at the world around you and it reveals what is going on in your system of beliefs. This is not easy to do but appears to be a law nonetheless.
Anyway, what I started to say is that any desire we have is really ’caused’ by something. So it is important to ask ourselves the question: what is the cause of my desire?
We can have only two possible answers. One is that the cause is fear, anxiety or want. The other is that the desire comes from inspiration and abundance and it is Life seeking to express Itself more fully in my life. In other words it is possible that the desire for more is indeed from abundance seeking more of itself to be expressed.
This can be pretty subtle and difficult to discern. So we need to learn to get very quiet and ask: what is motivating me? Am I feeling inspired and enthusiastic about what I seek to create? Or am I feeling a nigling sense of lack which makes me want in a way that reveals more of a neediness than a true creative surge. Without a doubt the true ’cause’ will have its ‘effect’ in our lives.
So I’m learning to ask; where am I coming from? What is the source of my motivation?
If it is want I need to acknowledge it and refuse to make agreement with it. I must say to it; be dissolved and instead I choose to make agreement with the true source of my life which is Good and abundance and I choose to move from and with that source. I AFFIRM LIFE!
I AFFIRM GOOD!
I AFFIRM THE THE LOVE THAT COMES FROM THE SPIRIT OF OPULENCE THAT IS MY TRUE SOURCE. I MAKE MY AGREEMENT WITH IT.
And so be it.
Having a great day is my birthright.
Peace.
