Today I’m focused on a verse from scripture that says: Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves have received from God. (II Corinthians 1:3,4 )
You may object to calling God Father but really the word father simply means ‘source’. This ‘source’ is the Principle from which all things and beings spring.
I am grateful that this comfort is integral to my experience as a human.
What is comfort but the awareness that everything is OK.
When the awareness of God’s Spirit reaches the heart, you know comfort. You know everything is OK.
How do you get the sense of that comfort?
All you have to do is ask.
This comfort is the presence of Spirit. It is undeniable when you experience it.
and you can…
The Spirit can also be referred to as The Principle.
The following voice excerpt is one I’ve done for you from an article by a chap named Thomas Troward, a meta physician from the early 20th century.
Give a listen. It’s worth the effort.
