The Principle of Guidance

Today I’m focused on a verse from scripture that says: Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves have received from God. (II Corinthians 1:3,4 )
You may object to calling God Father but really the word father simply means ‘source’. This ‘source’ is the Principle from which all things and beings spring.
I am grateful that this comfort is integral to my experience as a human.
What is comfort but the awareness that everything is OK.
When the awareness of God’s Spirit reaches the heart, you know comfort. You know everything is OK.
How do you get the sense of that comfort?
All you have to do is ask.
This comfort is the presence of Spirit. It is undeniable when you experience it.
and you can…
The Spirit can also be referred to as The Principle.
The following voice excerpt is one I’ve done for you from an article by a chap named Thomas Troward, a meta physician from the early 20th century.
Give a listen. It’s worth the effort.

What is the ’cause’ of the ‘effects’ in your life?
February 8, 2009
Today I had an interesting thought about the principle of ’cause’ and ‘effect’. I was reading an author by the name of Raymond Holliwell. His book is Working with the Law.
In there in the chapter on Supply he makes a comment that when we desire any particular effect in our lives, this desire is actual y the appearance on an underlying ’cause’. Of course this is always true. All that we have in our lives in connected to some interior cause or some belief or way of thinking.
I often hear the phrase; if you want to know what you are thinking, look at your environment. Look at the world around you and it reveals what is going on in your system of beliefs. This is not easy to do but appears to be a law nonetheless.
Anyway, what I started to say is that any desire we have is really ’caused’ by something. So it is important to ask ourselves the question: what is the cause of my desire?
We can have only two possible answers. One is that the cause is fear, anxiety or want. The other is that the desire comes from inspiration and abundance and it is Life seeking to express Itself more fully in my life. In other words it is possible that the desire for more is indeed from abundance seeking more of itself to be expressed.
This can be pretty subtle and difficult to discern. So we need to learn to get very quiet and ask: what is motivating me? Am I feeling inspired and enthusiastic about what I seek to create? Or am I feeling a nigling sense of lack which makes me want in a way that reveals more of a neediness than a true creative surge. Without a doubt the true ’cause’ will have its ‘effect’ in our lives.
So I’m learning to ask; where am I coming from? What is the source of my motivation?
If it is want I need to acknowledge it and refuse to make agreement with it. I must say to it; be dissolved and instead I choose to make agreement with the true source of my life which is Good and abundance and I choose to move from and with that source. I AFFIRM LIFE!
I AFFIRM GOOD!
I AFFIRM THE THE LOVE THAT COMES FROM THE SPIRIT OF OPULENCE THAT IS MY TRUE SOURCE. I MAKE MY AGREEMENT WITH IT.
And so be it.
Having a great day is my birthright.
Peace.

90% of Success is Showing Up.
February 3, 2009
This morning I wasn’t going to write anything on my blog.
I was reading a book by Robert Ringer called Action in which he quotes Woody Allen as saying that 90% of success is showing up. Isn’t that some kid of truth. If you don’t get into the game. If you don’t play how can you win? How can you improve?
So this morning I Act by simply showing up and sharing this insight.
I am sounding through to you something from my interior. I am showing up.
Robert Ringer changes the 90% and says it really is only 45%. The other half is about ‘ASKING’ in conjunction with the law of averages. Showing up is also, when you think of it, a form of asking. Just being present means someone has to deal with you and you with them. Something can happen. A new thing can come up. A light from the interior Radiance came come forth.
Getting into the game is making and action statement and if you do it over and over and over something comes of it. I remember how many times my children would ask. I mean how else do you learn.
It is good to understand that: asking and showing up as foundational actions to success.
So Good Morning and remember that nothing happens until something moves. So this is my action for this morning.
Having a great day is a decision. So be it. That’s my choice today.
Peace.

I concentrate, I focus, I clarify, I select and I resolve
February 2, 2009
Lately I’ve put a tiny dot on the wall across from my favorite chair. It is at about 25 degrees above eye level. Every day I stare at this dot for five minutes at a time, several times a day. That little dot made by a pen looks like a fly as I stare at it.
The objective of this exercise is to increase my power of ‘concentration’.
Concentration increases my ability to ‘focus’. As I learn to focus, things ‘clarify’. Of course as I get clear, I can make a specific choice. I select what has become clear that I desire.
Once I ‘select’ I am now ready to act in order to ‘resolve’ my choice. This is the path of action and the way to achieve success.
This little exercise of staring at a dot I picked up from Bob Proctor in a program he has developed and called: “SIX MINUTES TO SUCCESS’. I’m just starting my second week in the program and those six minutes a day with Bob are setting the course for the achievement of success. It’s simple. It’s easy and it’s fun.
I thought I’d share that with you today. What Bob Proctor is teaching is a mindset that can only lead to the release of the authentic self and the accomplishment of life purpose in a spirit of abundance and prosperity.
The authentic self is the true self sounding through. If the subject of experiencing your authentic self and abundance interests you visit Bob’s site here and find out more. So far it’s been great for me. I know I’m ‘setting’ the course of my life at the ’cause’ level and it can but produce wonderful ‘effects’ as I stay with the program from day to day.
We are the authors of our lives much more than we realize and the jewel of the ‘true self’ has a very unique contribution to make as it sounds through with its authentic vibration.
Have a great day.
Norm
