My Prayer for today, around “I am not my thoughts”.
January 7, 2009
Jesus, you are my awaken er. Jesus, I believe you are the Son of God. Jesus I believe I participate in Your Life. Your life is my strength and my foundation. I speak these words for it is mine to do so. I know myself and all people to be peaceful and secure in the Love that is God.
All fear and doubt is dissolved.
Jesus I KNOW you speak to me of my truth. Today, I make a small step to create something new and beautiful in releasing my potential for the sake of the highest Good, for the people of God.
I am not my thoughts.
I am, the thinker. My mind always has a stream of thoughts. I am the one who places meaning on those thoughts.
Now, I choose to affirm that I am in the Mind of God.
I am perfect peace that passes all understanding. I am grateful to have the opportunity to be present to God’s holy people and to serve as a listener. I love you Holy-Spirit. I love in that I know the hand that feeds me. I know the Force that inspires me. I know the Wisdom that guides me and governs my life. You are my governor and I am grateful.
Further, I know that you do not, so much control my life, as you under gird and encourage me to awaken and to soundthrough with the person I am.
I am in control. You are nurturing me deeper and deeper in that truth. I am listening that I might speak with integrity. Wisdom guides and yet I speak, I select my words. I ascribe meaning and value to that which I choose. I am power. I am aware. I am conscious. I am the expression of God as me. I state what I love. I love God and I do as I desire. I know I am one with this Love.
I am strong in the strength that is God.
I am happy to be me — firm and secure in the knowledge though I am God powered, I am in fact empowered to express me and to give direction to my day and as I am pleased, God is pleased.
I release all fear and doubt.
I allow myself to bask in the awareness of Absolute Certainty that is the Absolute, Omnipresent, Omnipotent, Omniscient Presence that is sounding through and is in all of Creation.
I release myself in this infinite Beauty and Harmony k-n-o-w-i-n-g that Beauty and Harmony manifest in my day, and so it is.

Mary Is A Symbol of The State of Awareness
January 6, 2009
Before Jesus could become aware of his ministry he needed the protection and nurture of Mary. Before any one of us can become aware of our gifts and abilities we need support and nurture. Because Mary is the state of contemplation she is therefore deep awareness. Remember that she is the state, the power, that is ‘already’ within. The story of the mysterious conception would have been told by her to her son. He would have thereby been alerted to his calling.
The state of awareness is the power to self reflect. Human genius now was lifted up and made aware of itself at a new level. How could God and humanity be as One? This was to be the main pondering of this woman as she tended the child entrusted to her. So this is what it’s like to be with God. You can talk with him and walk with him. It was all so familiar. It was all so day to day and ordinary.
So this is what it means to be made in the image of God? What a human is like is like God?
She must have wondered; ‘but I thought God was way ‘out there’ and far away. But this picture tells me God is in my every action and activity. To take care of myself and of humankind is to take care of God? How strange.’
And yet! The name Immanuel does mean, (God with us). There is another Scripture that says the word is in your heart and on your lips. Somehow God pours out of our mouth and actions. He is as near to us as our own breath and even our own ‘thought’. Can we believe it? And even belief is a gift. It’s already there.
So, the state, the awareness gained in Mary is really the environment we each can access right now. What state is that again? It is the state of being able to pay attention with the heart as well as the mind. I don’t have to create it. It’s already there.
I simply need to accept the ‘fact’ and use it.
Great talking to you today.

Mary, the Bishop or Overseer of Christ Consciousness
January 3, 2009
Continuing our topic of the last while, today I remember that Mary is the ‘state’ of clear and full human participation. This state is now available to every person. It is the state of being able to contemplate, to look at and to wonder. This is a peaceful state and one where there is a mild curiosity about what is being observed. In the case of Mary she was observing the Creator of the Universe, in human form.
First, she had heard the word that she would give birth to God in human form. That surely made her wonder.
Christ was born. She oversaw the growth of ‘God as one of us’. She had to hold that word by faith. This made no human sense. But she was called to hold the vision, as it were. She oversaw the growth of the child. She was present when he started his ministry and in effect she ‘precipitated’ that also by informing the Christ that the wedding party was out of wine. Christ, heard the suggestion and started to display his power to ‘manifest’ by turning water into wine. The word spread, probably in the form of a question; who is this Jesus who can make miracles happen?
As people became more and more aware of him and his powers, they wanted to make him a leader. He refused to let them do that. He pointed out to them that he was there simply to reveal to them the power they had within. They could not understand when he said to them; “I and the Father are one” and “I am in you and you are in me.”
The Christ Consciousness was starting to manifest, in Jesus and Mary.
Mary was also present at the ultimate miracle where Jesus allowed death to apparently take him. This looked like defeat. Here also Mary contemplated the word she heard originally. This was a test for her to hold the word against all contradictions. In this way she is the bishop, the overseer of Christ consciousness. Jesus descended into death. The following utterly dark days were held in the light by the faith of this woman. This state was also growing. A new space was being created where human consciousness could evolve to a higher level.
As the story goes, on the third day Jesus arose to prove that he is the Christ (the New Consciousness). This rising proclaimed the destruction of death consciousness. A new possibility was enacting itself. A new space that all of us can access was created. This is the space of personal creation, initiative, and of the person sounding through. Each of us is a ‘person’ in the new ethos created by Jesus and Mary. This new space needed a perpetual guiding principle. There is one Christ consciousness and each of us participates with our individual person.
Jesus Christ left the scene so that we would not form a group around him and make him an authority outside of ourselves. He disappeared so that each one of us would learn to take personal responsibility for our part in
growing the Unity.
Mary again was overseeing on the day of Pentecost. The Holy-Spirit is the invisible guiding Principle that is given. This person is hidden and works within each heart inspiring the full growth of each person. In so doing Christ consciousness expands through the evolution and expression of person or the authentic self. The Spirit is the invisible glue that causes the whole to grow thereby manifesting Christ Consciousness in the world, one person at a time. In this way the Creative Principle manifests its infinite creativity through the agency of each person expressing its own gifts, by its own initiative empowered by invisible love looking to manifest Unity with greater and greater clarity.
Mary, together with each person that awakens to this truth are bishops and overseers of the ever expanding Christ Consciousness.
I think that’s enough for today.
